07Support, audits & documentation

Design for the next five years.

A system needs to remain understandable after handover day. KENTEQ helps you diagnose issues, regain control of an inherited installation and give the next engineer something useful to work from.

The right help, at the right stage

Know what you have. Know how it works.

Existing systems often come with incomplete records, missing backups or a problem that has become part of everyday life. We establish what is present, what can be accessed and what the system should do, then agree the most useful next steps.

When to involve KENTEQ

When taking over a site, dealing with recurring faults, preparing for a support handover or improving documentation that is difficult to use.

01

Fault finding & technical diagnosis

Investigate the symptoms, trace the relevant signal paths and distinguish configuration, equipment and infrastructure issues.

02

System audits & takeovers

Review installed equipment, available files, access arrangements, condition and the gaps that need resolving.

03

Documentation & knowledge transfer

Prepare agreed equipment schedules, signal-flow records, configuration information and user guidance in a form suited to the audience.

04

Maintenance & lifecycle planning

Identify practical checks, replacement risks, spares considerations and the support arrangements the installation needs.

A useful outcome

A system with a useful paper trail.

Deliverables are agreed against your brief, site conditions and the level of involvement you need.

01

Findings & priorities

An understandable summary of the system’s condition, identified issues and recommended actions.

02

Agreed records

The documentation, backups and handover information included in the scope, with missing items made clear.

03

A support route

Defined responsibilities and next steps, including remote access or follow-up visits where agreed.

Before we start

A few practical
questions.

Every engagement starts with a clear scope. These are some of the things we can settle together.

Can you help when we have no drawings?

Yes. An audit can establish the available information and identify what can reasonably be reconstructed. Access restrictions and undocumented programming may affect the scope.

How is ongoing support arranged?

Support availability, response expectations and commercial terms are agreed for each engagement, together with the system information and access arrangements needed to provide it.

Should passwords go in a public handover pack?

No. Access credentials should be transferred through the agreed secure process to the authorised people, with the documentation recording who owns and manages access.

A project. A problem. A starting point.

Let’s make it work.

Bring the brief, the challenge or the system you already have. We’ll work out the next sensible step.
